To maintain credibility, state medical boards must take seriously their role in protecting the public from physician perpetrators. Victims should consider reporting to the perpetrator's place of employment, the state medical board, the state attorney general, and other levels of law enforcement — to have the best chance of the perpetrator being held accountable for their crimes.
